Find the correct size Suregrip tip by holding it up to your tape measures manufactured tip. The Suregrip tip should be the same width.
Extend the tape approximately 16 inches and turn the tape measure upside down laying the manufacturer's tip against a flat surface. Press down on the tape so the tip is relatively at a 90 degree angle before attaching Suregrip.
Peal off the plastic film from the back side of the Suregrip tip adhesive. Carefully line up the two tips using the flat table surface and press on the Suregrip. Hold tightly for 30 seconds.
Set down tape measure making sure the tip is not resting up against anything. Let the adhesive set up for 24 hours before using tap measure.
WARNING: The Suregrip tip is larger and more aggressive than the manufacturer's tip.Retracting the tape measure too quickly can cause injury to fingers and hand. Always retract the tape measure in a safe controlled manner.
DISCLAIMER: The Suregrip tip and adhesive attached to the tape measure is approximately 1/8th inch additional thickness. Thus when measuring inside dimensions, i.e. window or door frames, subtract 1/8th inch to your measurement.
